M-Net Movies Creates ten-day pop-up channel ahead of ‘Avengers: Infinity War’ premiere

M-Net Movies has created that will air from April 13 to 22 to showcase the best movies from Marvel Studios.

DStv owned M-Net Movies has created a ten-day pop-up channel to showcase the best movies of the popular Marvel Studios franchise.

The channel will be on air as from April 13 to 22 for DStv Premium customers on Channel 109 from 6pm to midnight daily.

In a statement sent to newsrooms, M-Net says that on each day of the ten days, a film from the franchise (Marvel) with overlapping story lines will be screened in chronological order (according to how the films were released in cinema). The channel will open with 2008’s Iron Man and close with Spiderman: Homecoming on April 22.

“This channel is a special treat for the legions of Marvel fans—both old and new—who have enjoyed the live-action exploits of favourite Marvel superheroes,” says M-Net’s Head of Publicity, Lani Lombard.

“The timing of our M-Net Movies Marvels Studios pop-up channel is also absolutely perfect with the franchise currently creating an incredible buzz worldwide”

The pop-up channel will also serve as a lead-up to the much-anticipated Avengers: Infinity War which hits cinemas this year, with the world premiere set for April 23. This comes a time after the release of the famous Black Panther, which has been appreciated across the globe.

On top of the 15 feature films there will also be programming linked to the behind the scenes of the movies, such as: United We StandDivided We FallThe Making of Captain America: Civil WarGuide to The Galaxy with James Gunn and more.

Additionally, avid fans of the blockbuster franchise will be treated to a range of documentaries offering incredible insight into the history of Marvel.
