Popular Churchill Show Comedian Opens Up
Comedian Gilbert Baraza aka Mtumishi from the popular Kreative Generations Group that used to regularly feature on Churchill Show has opened up on his early life before getting breakthrough in the comedy industry.
In an exclusive interview with a local newspaper, the rib cracker revealed that he used to work as a barber in a mortuary. Poverty had forced him into doing the ‘odd’ job in a bid to earn something to put food on the table.
He did the job for quite some time but quit after encountering an experience that still haunts him to date. He revealed that he quit the job after shaving one of his dead friends.
“I worked as a barber in a mortuary where I used to shave the dead. It was a tough job though it gave birth to my present career. I once shaved a friend of mine, an experience that really haunted me. The experience made me do some soul searching. My dream was always to be a comedian or actor and i swore that I would not die before realising the dream. I therefore decided to exploit my talent rather than seek employment again,” revealed Mtumishi.
Mtumishi is currently one of the most sort after comedian and MC in the country. He is also an actor and a radio presenter at Mulembe FM.
